Pres and I affectionately refer to our cats and dog as "the fours" (four-legged friends) and the cats alone as "the little fours."  As much as we love the little fours, we hate their litter boxes.  Having them really wasn't a big deal when we had a room solely used to store junk.  Now that we are actually putting the bedrooms together, we don't want poo boxes ruining an otherwise nice room.  Then I remembered this idea from the Matters of Style blog.

We were going to keep an eye out on Craigslist and a local antique auction for old trunks, until we realized that we needed to find something to do with the TV armoire we had in our bedroom anyway.  After we redid our bedroom, we decided not to move the armoire back in, because it was just too big for the room.

When Pres finally gets the board that limits the depth of the cabinet out (it's been rough...there's been some cursing), it should be perfect for two cat boxes.  It'll even be easy to clean-- we will just need to open the cabinet doors to scoop.  As Pres pointed out, the hole in the back will let us put a little night light in the box to help them see where they are going.  Right now, Blacky likes to poo right outside the box when he's mad.  Hopefully, he'll stop doing that with the new set up.
