We were in the French Quarter yesterday to hang out with a friend who is in town from DC. This painting caught our eye while we were walking by Jackson Square. It was done on a 48" by 67" piece of wood that is supposedly debris from the 9th ward. However, the artist seemed a little crazy and full of shit-- he also said that Martha Stewart bought one of his pieces and has it in her house in the Hamptons. Nonetheless, it will be an interesting piece to put above our sofa in the den and was a great deal. It turned out to be a little too big to fit in the car we brought to New Orleans, so we had to leave it at Lynn's apartment and will be heading back soon to pick it up in our SUV. Poor Pres had to carry it all over the crowded French Quarter.
