Chaos- Part 1

The chaos associated with the next steps in our house renovations began on Friday.  Arthur's guys installed French doors between the foyer and one of the guest bedrooms on Friday to make our new "study."

While I was at the beach with my friends, Pres spent the weekend painting, pulling up carpeting, and emptying two of the bedrooms.  When I came home, this is what the living room/dining room looked like:

While the guys are working on our bedroom, we are all cramming into the study.   It kind of feels like we are camping in our own house. The cats are also hanging out in there during the day.  The fresh coat of paint and French doors improved the room tremendously, though it is a tight squeeze for now.

The guys started the ceilings today.  We were very pleased to see how much progress they made, and even more pleased that the house was not very dusty.  The contractor recently bought some sort of vacuum that is supposed to get the ceiling scrapings and dust as they are remove the popcorn.

I can't wait to see what it looks like with all of the ceilings and floors done.  It is going to look like an entirely new house!
