Backsplash

I love the look of white subway tile backsplash, but Pres is a little concerned about having too much white in the kitchen.  As a compromise, we are discussing putting some metal up as well.  We have discussed having the metal, probably the steel, behind the cooktop or maybe down that whole wall with subway tile just on the opposite side of the kitchen.  We are not going to do the backsplash until after we paint the cabinets and put in butcher block countertops, so we have a little time to decide.
