The Beginning of the End of the Kitchen

Arthur tore out our old countertop and put in the butcherblock today. I love it so far. We could not get a slab of butcherblock that matched the length of the sink-side countertop. Instead of cutting off the extra six inches, we are making the countertop longer (see last photo). I think we are going to like the additional room.

He is doing the sink and the cooktop tomorrow. Can't wait. He will then finish the kitchen next week (backsplash, light fixtures, outlets, etc).
