Another Project- the Patio

Dudley's arrival and the beautiful spring weather have had us spending more time outside. We've decided to move the patio above finishing the kitchen on our to do list.  We're having concrete poured tomorrow and will hopefully have a covered area built in the next couple week.

The new patio will be 12 feet wide and will be as long as the house.  We are going to extend the roof to cover half of the patio (the left side through the middle of the two windows).  Later this summer we're going to screen it in and add in ceiling fans.  We're also considering adding raised gardens and flower beds around the perimeter of the patio.

When we moved in a year ago, we had grand plans of having a few citrus trees and a large fruit and veggie garden.  We even bought a satsuma tree, lime tree, and a blueberry bush.....only we didn't do anything with them until yesterday.  We finally replanted them into bigger pots.
